This book is a collection of folk tales from various parts of Mexico. This is not a picture book as such. There are a few pictures but there is a lot more text than pictures. It is more appropriate to read aloud to 5+ year old kids I think. But I love to read folktales from around the world. So I have been reading these stories first and narrating them to my kids in my own words. Each story is followed by an introduction to the region where the story came from.
