Daily Wisdom

“Children grow so very quickly…it is easy to promise yourself you will spend more time with your kids ‘when things slow down at work’ or ‘when I get a big promotion’ or ‘next year when I get a little more time’. But if you don’t act on life, life has a habit of acting on you. The weeks slip into months, the months slip into years and before you know it, that little child is now an adult with a family of her own.” ~Robin Sharma, Who Will Cry When You Die .

There’s great wisdom in knowing what our blessings are, in learning to truly see the small miracles of life for what they are and prioritize cherishing them on a daily basis; in choosing to live life proactively and deliberately, with purpose and intention; in choosing to engage with life whole-heartedly no matter what the external circumstances are; in pausing periodically to ponder on the big picture, as opposed to constantly running from one thing to another; in acting on life as opposed to letting life act on us. This wisdom is a true gift to ourselves and to the ones we love.
